Golfing at the Foot of the Legendary Mountains of the Moon – Rwenzori Mountains

DAY 1: Arrive in the evening at Entebbe International Airport and you will be met by your Driver/Guide and thereafter be transferred to Sheraton
Kampala Hotel for the overnight.

DAY 2: After breakfast, your guide will transfer you to Kampala Golf Club right in the heart of the City and with a prestigious 18 hole course. Whole morning at your disposal for golf. Lunch at the Club House and another round of golf in the afternoon.

Evening transfer to Sheraton for dinner and overnight.

DAY 3: After breakfast, depart for Kibale Forest National park via Mubende. Along the way, you will witness a country side live with activity. Locals working their banana, coffee and cassava plantations, colourful roadside fresh fruit and vegetable markets and vast tea plantations.

Arrive in Fort Portal and proceed to Kyaninga Lodge or similar for lunch.
Afternoon at leisure and the rest of the evening can be spent exploring the area with beautiful cater lakes. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

DAY 4: After breakfast, proceed to Kibale Forest National Park, a primatologist’s dream. It hosts a population of more than 1,000 chimpanzees, of which one 80- strong community is habituated for tourist visits, as well as halfa- dozen readily observed monkey species , including the acrobatic red colobus, blackand- white colobus, and the handsome L’Hoest’s monkey.

The forest also boasts of 100 year old trees, medicinal plants that your Ranger will only be happy to point out and show to you. This walk is normally 1 to 2 hours and on foot paths making it gentle and enjoyable.

Thereafter return to the lodge for lunch. Afternoon, you will be transferred to Fort Portal for an evening game at the Fort Portal Golf Club. Thereafter, transfer back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

DAY 5: Whole day will be spent at the Fort Portal Club House and will be at your disposal for golf. In the evening, return to the lodge for dinner.

DAY 6: After breakfast, depart for Queen Elisabeth National Park game viewing on the way and arriving at Mweya Safari Lodge in time for lunch. Afternoon at leisure and can be spent at the Poolside Bar. Late in the evening another game driver in areas near the lodge and also explore the crater lakes with a possibility of seeing the glorious flamingos.

The Queen Elizabeth National Park provides an ultimate feast for all the senses. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

DAY 7: Early before breakfast, you will be served coffee/tea with some sweets and then depart for a game drive. Look out for prides of lions and herds of elephant, Buffalo, hyena, waterbuck, bushbuck and Uganda Kob are common here, but not so common is the spectacular Giant forest Hog or the elusive leopard. Return to the lodge for a late breakfast.

The rest of the morning can be spent at the Poolside. After lunch, you will take a Launch trip to explore the Kazinga Channel, which joins Lake George to Lake Edward.

On the Channel you will see scores of hippos, crocodiles, monitor lizard, buffalo close to the waterside and often elephants and the rare leopard prowling. The birdlife on the water is fascinating and you will see dozens of bee-eaters, pied and colourful malachite kingfishers, Pelican, hamerkop, goliath heron, yellow billed stork and many others. Return to the lodge in time for refreshment and dinner.

DAY 8:After breakfast, depart for Entebbe via Mbarara with a stop at the Equator for a photo opportunity, lunch stop and souvenir shopping. Proceed on to Kampala with a visit to the Women Craft Village and then proceed to Entebbe arriving at Laico Lake Victoria hotel in time for dinner.

DAY 9: After breakfast, you will be guided to Entebbe Golf Club for a half day game. Return to the hotel for lunch and prepare for check out. Evening transfer to Entebbe International airport for your flight connections.
